Barrow have handed goalkeeper Tim Deasy a second chance at Holker Street after he opted to quit the club at the end of last season. The 24-year-old left the Bluebirds after turning down a new deal, but was back in the side to face Oldham Athletic in a friendly on Saturday.

Deasy made 24 league appearances for the FA Trophy holders last season.

Barrow are seeking two goalkeepers, after Stuart Tomlinson also left the club to join Port Vale in May.

Deasy began his career with Macclesfield Town, making three first-team appearances for the Silkmen before being released in the summer of 2006.

He joined Stockport County but left Edgeley Park without playing a first team game, and a permanent move to Barrow followed in August 2007.
