First half cost Barrow - Bayliss

Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss says that a poor first-half display cost his side in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat by Fleetwood Town. Two goals from Barrow-born Wayne Curtis sent the Bluebirds to a third straight defeat that leaves them 17th in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

"I'm disappointed, I thought we dominated the second half," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Two silly mistakes are disappointing."

One positive for the Bluebirds has been the return of winger Neil Wainwright on a one-moth loan from Morecambe, following a serious knee injury to Simon Wiles.

"He got better the longer the game went on," said Bayliss.

"Has hasn't played first-team football for a while and he struggled at first but caused problems in the second half."
