Barrow joint-boss Dave Bayliss believes the squad is showing signs of a return to form following Tuesday's FA Trophy third round replay win at Gateshead.The win was Barrow's first in four games and Bayliss is confident the club can use their cup form as a springboard for progress in Blue Square Premier.
"We need to kick-start our league games now," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"We played some tremendous football tonight and hopefully it'll be the catalyst for three points on Saturday."
Barrow, currently 20th in the Blue Square Premier but with games in hand, welcome Kettering Town to Holker Street in the league on Saturday.
Postponements during December and January have handed Barrow a fixture backlog which will mean a two-games a week schedule between now and the end of the season.
And Bayliss admitted the heavy workload will be tough on a small squad, and has not ruled out further additions to strengthen key areas.
"The games are coming thick and fast and that's why we need to have a decent squad behind us," said Bayliss.
"It was encouraging to look on the bench and see like the likes of Gregg Blundell, Luke Powell, Paul Rutherford and Phil Bolland in where we can change it.
"It is something we will look at over the next few weeks, brining in one or two players to strengthen the squad.
"You only need to look at the pitch, it does become heavy and takes its toll on the players legs after a time. That's why you need a big squad."
January's transfer window brought winger Simon Wiles and strikers Nick Chadwick and Luke Powell to the club.
