Barrow boss hopes for run of form

Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss is calling on his relegation-battling team to use Saturday's 3-2 win at Forest Green as a springboard. The Bluebirds picked up their first away win of the season at the New Lawn, to climb out of the Blue Square Bet Premier drop zone.

"We've got to try to get as much positive impact as we can possibly get," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"It's a mini season and we've got to win as many games as we can now."

Bayliss added: "You have to draw a line under the poor season we've had so far."

Despite ending the club's 11-month winless run on their travels, Bayliss was angered by the defending within the squad that led to the hosts' two goals.

Our Achilles heel again has been our defending set-plays

"Our Achilles heel again has been our defending set-plays. The lads will be handing over a few quid to me and Darren Sheridan on Monday morning.

"I take no pleasure out of doing it. I'd rather come out of here with a 1-0 win or a 3-0 win and a clean sheet, and the lads keep their money in their pocket.

"It's the nearest man to the nearest player who scores. Everyone has a designated player to mark.

"They have their men to mark off a setpiece and they haven't done it."
