Barrow defender Simon Spender must wait to discover the extent of his injury after suffering ankle ligament damage in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Cambridge.Spender, 25, went off 20 minutes from time after being hurt in a challenge with U's full-back James Jennings.
Spender joined Barrow from Wrexham initially on loan in March 2009, before completing a permanent move.
The Wales Under-21 international, part of the 2010 FA Trophy winning side, has made 76 league appearances for Barrow.
