Chadwick says Bayliss key to move

"Without him, I'm not sure I'd be talking to you and he has played a pivotal part."

Chadwick, 27, joined the Bluebirds from Chester City on a free transfer and is happy to have joined a club he described as "moving forward".

Having come through Everton's academy, playing Premier League football for the Toffees and making Football League appearances for clubs including Millwall, Plymouth and Shrewsbury, Chadwick has an excellent pedigree to bring to the Barrow side.

And as a former Chester team-mate of current Bluebirds forward Gregg Blundell, Chadwick hopes his style of football will make a positive contribution to the team's Blue Square Premier campaign.

"I bring a bit of presence, hold the ball up well, and hopefully nick a goal or two," said Chadwick.

"I like to lead from the front, lead by example and work hard for the team.

"That's hopefully what everybody will see, I'm honest and I'll give 100% for the club."

Chadwick has made 177 appearances, scoring 30 goals, including seven this season for Chester in the Blue Square Premier.
